How You Can Help
You can help the Boys & Girls Club of the Piedmont grow! Here's how:
1. Volunteer Your Time
The Boys & Girls Club of the Piedmont needs your help!
There are many ways to help serve the youth of the Club! If you have an area of interest or expertise, please consider volunteering several hours a week impacting the lives of members of the BGC of the Piedmont, Inc. Each volunteer will be expected to complete a two-hour training session with the SPARK Program and agree to a background check before serving members. Please contact us at (704) 978-2460 if you are interested in volunteering.
We need volunteers to:
- Read to & Listen to members read
- Tutor in Math
- Tutor in Reading
- Assist with group activities
- Provide refreshments
- Provide supplies for Club activities
- Provide food for Family Activities
- Provide items for Club store (incentives for members)
- Provide certificates or gifts for special recognitions
- Speak to members about your profession or business
- Provide financial gifts to assist with club activities
- Provide musical instruments
- Provide sports equipment
- Instruct photography
- Instruct drama
- Director choir
- Instruct dance
- Instruct art
- Instruct archery
- Instruct golf
- Instruct swimming
- Instruct gymnastics
- Instruct Fishing techniques
- Coach basketball
- Coach tennis
- Coach volleyball
- Coach soccer
- Coach softball
- Coach track & field
- Instruct Band
- Instruct Public Speaking techniques
- Coach chess
